Fine Raw Willow – Purpurea Helix, a willow variety of its own

A variety prized for the fineness of its rods, the Purpurea Helix is particularly suited to delicate work. Like all our raw willow, it comes from young willow shoots grown in Europe and is aimed at artisanal basketry: making baskets and trays, building or restoring armchairs, creative hobbies and decorative projects.

Willow is worked after soaking, which restores the flexibility needed for weaving without breaking; woven damp, it tightens as it dries for a taut piece. Store the bundles dry, away from moisture.
