Working a supple, strong fibre

Rattan is a light, supple material that is very resistant in bending: its full, elastic fibrous structure lets it be hot-bent without breaking. Each cane is selected and peeled to guarantee an even colour. Note: air that is too dry can cause cracks—bring rattan furniture indoors during humid seasons and keep the fibre away from sharp temperature changes.
