The Extra rattan cane, queen of caning

Presented in a tied roll, this 250 g cane is particularly appreciated for the traditional caning of chairs and armchairs, basketry, weaving and all work that calls for precision and consistency. Beyond caning and lashing, it dresses benches, headboards and openwork panels. Slightly rounded, drawn from the bark of rattan, it offers a characteristic glossy side and matt side.

A rare, even material

Maison Douineau cane is selected with particular care: for one tonne of rattan, only 25 kg of cane is extracted. The silica in its bark gives it a unique gloss and strength, much appreciated by furniture makers. A living, biodegradable material, it may show slight variations in colour from one piece to another.
